Don Adams
President and CEO, Savannah GADon Adams is a co-founder and venture partner based in our Savannah, GA office. Along with Jon Jaques, he founded Coastal Data Enterprises, Inc. in 2003.
Experience: In addition to launching CoDE, Don is the founder and CEO of Kelly Tours, Inc. in Savannah Ga. Don brings more than 23 years of executive experience within the travel, tourism and leisure industry and group travel operations. He started Kelly Tours, Inc. in 1996. Within the Kelly Tours, Inc. umbrella, Don has been overseeing a motor-coach department since 2000, and formed operations for Kshuttle in 2009.
Jon S. Jaques
Vice President and General ManagerJon Jaques is a co-founder and venture partner based in our Savannah, GA office. Along with Don Adams, he founded Coastal Data Enterprises, Inc. in 2003.
Experience: In addition to his duties at CoDE, Jon has provided web based application and database development for Sonshine Educational Tours, Inc. in Coral Springs, FL as well as development for Mr. Adams for Kelly Tours, Inc.. Prior to launching CoDE, Jon worked at Systems Connect as Director of Technical Development. As part of the internet marketing team, Jon focused on user acquisition, search engine optimization and web based application development.
From 1996 – 2000 Jon served as a Systems Administrator for Network Publications, Inc. in Manchester, NH. He provided a vast globe of information technology in a multi-media environment for publications such as The Telegraph and NH.com.
Education: Jon holds a B.S. in Information Technology, Magna cum laude; from South University.
Margaret. D. Jaques
Senior Director of Communications and MarketingExperience: Margaret joined CoDE as Director of Public Relations in 2005 and in 2008 assumed leadership of the Communications Department. Margaret is a marketing and communications strategist, writer and social engineer with 25 years of experience of various multi-media communications across sectors, media and cultures.
Prior to joining CoDE, Margaret served for a Savannah based nonprofit committed to sustainable community development. She had also served as copywriter and brand strategist for a variety of web development projects. She is efficient at developing web-based campaigns for search engine optimization and social content properties.
Education: Margaret holds a B.A. degree in Corporate Communications, Summa cum laude; from South University and her A.A. in Communications from Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing, NJ.
Mike Whalen
Senior Director of IT HospitalityExperience: Mike has over 20 years of experience in IT sales and marketing with the River Street Inn in Savannah Ga. Mike brings to the table incredible insight to the challenges that the hotel and hospitality industry faces in the travel, tourism and leisure market. An extensive knowledge of in house operations, social networking and management makes Mike a great asset to our team here at CoDE.
Mike is the founder and CEO of AKD Digital Solutions and has served Savannah with PC & Networking support and an in depth knowledge of custom Digital Video Security systems.
Education: Mike holds dual B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering.
Warren Hickman
Travel & Transportation ConsultantExperience: Warren Hickman has over 30 years experience in shuttle and transportation management. He managed and developed the Northside Airport Express in Atlanta which during the height of business transported 60,000 passengers a day to and from Atlanta International Airport. He was instrumental in hiring, training and managing the 250 drivers at Northside Airport Express. Other Northside Airport Express responsibilities included daily reporting, monitoring equipment, traffic flow and system wide communications. He also worked with Gold Line in Washington DC with local tours and airport/convention services.
Warren currently is co-founder and operations Manager for K-shuttle of Savannah.
