I just found this article on fixing network problems with Windows XP, and thought I’d share it here for sake of being able to find it again. I came across this because of a computer being fixed on my workbench, whereby the network connections do not show at all, but there is a host of other problems as well, apparently due to a failed Service Pack 3 installation (and a little help from an MS tech. who seems to have helped the client to make it worse before she found me!)
